The department has proven its competence in the field of banking and finance education with the FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation) accreditation from Germany it received in 2014. Our students get the chance of improving their written and oral communication and individual research skills. In addition to this, in many courses, much of the weight is given to term projects, assignments and practical application of knowledge and skills. We believe, this approach is an advantage for our graduates after their graduation, when they are looking for jobs.
Our Achivements
The Department of Banking and Finance, along with its educational responsibilities, is contributing to the recognition and economic development of the TRNC through various means. Graduates from the Department have already been employed in very prestigious institutions around the Globe which contributes to the recognition of our university and country. The Department has distinguished professors who continuously publish in top ranking journals in the field and have considerable international experience in teaching and research. Staff members of the Department are among the most publishing professors not only in Cyprus but also in the region. The Department of Banking and Finance has also collaborations with international institutions such as Canadian Securities Institute that provides certificate programs to students at international level. The Department has organized international conferences and seminars by inviting very famous professors from such international institutions as Harvard University and New York State University.
