FACULTY OF BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS ACADEMICIANS APPEAR IN STANFORD UNIVERSITY'S “THE WORLD'S MOST INFLUENTIAL SCIENTISTS LIST"

Two of the 14 academicians from Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) who are among the most cited scientists in the world are from the Faculty of Business and Economics. The list is created as a result of a study conducted by a team of US and Dutch scientists under the coordination of US Stanford University in 2022.

According to the report, the Faculty of Business and Economics, Department of Banking and Finance academic staff member Prof. Dr. Salih Katırcıoğlu has become Turkey's 49th most influential scientist; and the Chair of the Department of Economics, Faculty of Business and Economics Prof. Dr. Mehmet Balcılar have made it to the top 250.

EMU academicians have also be included in the Career-Long Impact List announced within the scope of the report. A total of 896 academicians from Turkey were included in the list. Faculty of Business and Economics, Department of Banking and Finance academic staff member Prof. Dr. Salih Katırcıoğlu have been included among the most influential 66 thousand academicians in the world and appear amongst the top 120 in Turkey.
