“CAREER OVER COFFEE” EVENT

Organized by the Eastern Mediterranean University Alumni Communication and Career Research Directorate (EMU-MIKA), “10th Career Over Coffee” event was organized within the scope of the “International Career Days” by the Faculty of Business and Economics on Tuesday, 17 May, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the Faculty of Business and Economics yard. 19 companies participated in the “Career Over Coffee” event, held to introduce graduating students to the business world and markets, and to help them plan their careers by creating job and internship opportunities. During the opening speeches held before the event, EMU Business and Economics Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Mustafa Besim noted that they held the Career Coffee event with the participation of 19 distinguished businesses of the country and thanked the said businesses for their participation. Noting that they give importance to extracurricular activities in addition to education in the classroom and research, Prof. Dr. Besim noted that they also work to prepare students for business life, and that they organize this event within this scope. Expressing that with the Career Over Coffee event, students can receive information about business life and benefit from internship opportunities, Prof. Dr. Besim thanked everyone who contributed to the organization of the event. EMU Vice Rector for Social and Cultural Affairs Prof. Dr. Deniz İşçioğlu stated in her speech that she believes it will be an event where students and the industry will come together, job and internship opportunities will emerge, and positive outcomes will be achieved. Prof. Dr. İşçioğlu thanked all stakeholders who contributed to the realization of this beautiful event. At the end of the event, the participating businesses were presented with a plaque with the EMU logo.
