The Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Alumni Communication and Career Research Directorate (MİKA) collaborated with the Faculty of Business and Economics to organize the “Career Over Coffee” event. The event which was attended by many companies took place on the grass area behind the Faculty of Business and Economics on Tuesday, the 30th of April 2019 beetween 10:00 and 16:00. Students and participants obtained information from the companies and gained the opportunity to carry out future internships at the said companies.

EMU-MİKA Director Derviş Ekşici released the following statement on the event: “The event attracted a lot of students. Our goal was to develop the career planning and job finding skills of our students. We are proud of the interest shown to our event, university and students by participating companies and this interest motivates us to do even better for our students. I wholeheartedly thank all the companies that attended the event and supported us to gain student satisfaction.”
Addressing students at the event, EMU Faculty of Business and Economics Dean Prof. Dr. Selcan Timur stated: “Today is a special day on which employers and future employees come together to speak about what they can achieve. The valuable companies that are present here today have always provided job opportunities for our students. I would like to highlight the importance of this support. Our Career Coffee Shop event is a great opportunity for students to meet, get to know and collaborate with different employers.” Prof. Dr. Timur thanked the companies that participated in the event and provided career advice for students.
